What is a modular water tank?

A modular (sectional) tank is built from factory-pressed 108×108 cm steel panels — or 100×100 cm GRP panels — bolted together on site with sealing gaskets. Panels pass through standard doorways, adapt to columns and irregular floor plans, and the tank can be enlarged later.

Sheet thickness is statically calculated for the hydrostatic pressure at each tier: thicker at the bottom, lighter at the top — engineered safety without wasted steel.

Modular water tank FAQ

What is the difference between a modular tank and a one-piece tank?

A modular tank is assembled on site from 108×108 cm pressed panels bolted together. Unlike one-piece tanks it passes through standard doors and stairwells panel by panel, can be enlarged later by adding panels, and can be dismantled and relocated.

What determines the price of a modular water tank?

Volume, panel material (pre-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, stainless, GRP), statically calculated sheet thicknesses, tank proportions and installation location. Enter your dimensions on the ucsteklif.com portal to see your price instantly.

What sizes can be built?

Dimensions follow the panel module: 1 module = 1.08 m for steel (1.00 m for GRP), in full and half-module steps. A 2×2×2 tank holds about 10 m³; 5×4×2 about 50 m³. Height ranges from 0.5 to 4 tiers; any volume from 1 to 1,000 m³ uses the same standard.

Which tank is right for drinking water?

Drinking water requires a food-grade interior: AISI 304/316 stainless steel, GRP, or thermoplastic-coated panels approved for potable water (blue RAL 5005 / green RAL 6026).

How long does installation take?

Panels arrive numbered in assembly order, so most projects are completed in 1–3 days. The bolted system needs no welding or crane. We ship worldwide and can supervise or carry out assembly.

How long does a modular tank last?

With the right material choice and periodic maintenance, 20+ years. Pre-galvanized and stainless tanks carry a 2-year warranty; hot-dip galvanized and GRP tanks 5 years. A damaged panel can be replaced individually.
